A few useful details
Why is the result sometimes larger?
An image that is already well compressed may become larger when it is exported again. Try a lower quality, smaller dimensions or another format. The result always shows the actual file size; a smaller file is not guaranteed.
Which file format should I choose?
JPG is a practical choice for photographs. WebP can produce small files and supports transparency, but check that your destination accepts it. PNG preserves sharp graphics and transparency, but the quality slider does not reduce PNG file size. Transparent areas become white in JPG.
Does compression change the image?
JPG and WebP quality settings can remove fine detail. Reducing dimensions also removes pixels. Use the original/result control and keep your original file if you may need it later.
Can I adjust brightness, contrast and saturation?
Yes. Open Photo adjustments and move the sliders to lighten or darken the photo, change its contrast or adjust color intensity. Zero keeps the original setting; saturation at -100 makes the photo black and white. Reset adjustments clears only these three settings. All changes are applied to the downloaded image, entirely in your browser.
