How to Access Facebook Marketplace and Find a Missing Shortcut

Find Marketplace in Facebook's full menu when its shortcut is missing, and check what to do if you cannot access it.

โšกShort answer

Open Facebook, tap Menu, then tap See more if Marketplace is not visible. Choose Marketplace. If it is still missing or access is restricted, check the eligibility and troubleshooting notes below.

Before you start

Marketplace availability depends on your country, age, account status, and compliance with Facebook policies. A missing shortcut does not always mean that access has been removed: first check the full Menu and See more list.

Only if Facebook asks you to choose an experience

Some regions show a Personalized or Non-personalized choice before Marketplace opens. This appeared on the account used for our screenshots; it is not a required screen for every user.

If the choice appears, read Facebook's descriptions and decide which experience you prefer. If Marketplace opens directly, skip the regional setup steps below.

Follow the steps

  1. Open the full Facebook menu

Tap Menu. If Marketplace is not among the first shortcuts, tap See more and choose Marketplace.

A couple of useful details

Why is Marketplace missing from my shortcuts?

Facebook may place Marketplace under See more, change your shortcut bar, or restrict Marketplace for an account that is not eligible.

Which Marketplace experience should I choose?

Read Facebook's descriptions and choose based on your privacy preference. Personalized includes features such as Facebook messaging, Marketplace profiles, and personalized listings; the reviewed Non-personalized option uses email and omits those features.

Can I use Marketplace with a new Facebook account?

Access is not guaranteed. Facebook considers factors such as age, region, account history, and policy compliance.

What should I do if Marketplace still does not open?

Update Facebook, close and reopen the app, check your connection, and look for an account restriction or review option in Marketplace or Support Inbox.
