How to List an Item on Facebook Marketplace
Create a Marketplace item listing with clear photos, an accurate price and a safe pickup or delivery plan.
Open Marketplace, tap Sell or Create listing, and choose Item for sale. Add your own photos, title, price, category, condition, and description. Set the location and available delivery options, review the audience and listing details, then tap Publish.
Before you start
Check Facebook's Commerce Policies before listing. Do not include prohibited products, misleading claims, personal contact details in photos, or a location more precise than necessary. Availability of shipping and checkout features varies by account and region.
Follow the steps
Open Marketplace
Tap Menu, tap See more if needed, and choose Marketplace. Complete any regional Marketplace choice that Facebook presents.

Upload your own photos and enter a clear title, price, category, condition, and honest description. Include defects and measurements that affect the buying decision.

Set the location and any available delivery options. Review the photos, price, description, audience, and meetup plan, then tap Publish. Do not complete the listing if anything is wrong.

Why can’t I create a Marketplace listing?
Finish any regional Marketplace setup, confirm that your account is eligible, update the app, and check whether Facebook shows a restriction or review option.
How many photos should I add?
Use several clear, well-lit photos that show the whole item, important details, labels, and any wear or damage.
Can I edit a listing after publishing it?
Usually yes. Open Marketplace, go to your selling activity or listings, open the listing menu, and choose Edit listing.
Should I put my phone number in the description?
For privacy and scam prevention, keep communication in the method Facebook provides unless you have a specific reason to share contact details.
