Open Menu, expand Settings and privacy, and tap Settings. Open Accounts Center, choose Password and security, tap Change password, select your Facebook profile, then enter your current password and the new password twice.

Use a unique password that you do not reuse on another service. Facebook currently asks for at least six characters and recommends a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. A couple of useful details

What if I do not remember my current Facebook password?

Use Forgot your password? on the change-password screen and follow Facebook's recovery instructions. You may need access to an email address or phone number connected to the account.

Should I log out of other devices?

Choose that option if you do not recognize a login or believe someone else used the account. You can also review Where you're logged in under Password and security.

Will changing my password log me out everywhere?

Facebook presents a separate choice about logging out of other devices. Read the option shown for your account before confirming the change.

How can I make the account safer after changing the password?

Turn on two-factor authentication and use Security Checkup in Password and security. Do not share recovery codes or login verification codes.
